CFC- Stand on the ROCK!

As we continue to navigate this season we are in, we can be confident that God will be with us through and through. I find strength in knowing that no matter what the future holds, God is able to be a firm foundation for us to stand on.

Luke 6:46-49—46 “Why do you call Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say? 47 Everyone who comes to Me and hears My words and acts on them, I will show you whom he is like: 48 he is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid a foundation on the rock; and when a flood occurred, the torrent burst against that house and could not shake it, because it had been well built. 49 But the one who has heard and has not acted accordingly, is like a man who built a house on the ground without any foundation; and the torrent burst against it and immediately it collapsed, and the ruin of that house was great.”

The house that was built without a foundation was swept away with great loss, but the house that stood on a rock was not shaken. Just as Jesus described two different people, and the way they built their houses, we each have that same choice. This pandemic and everything that surrounds it feels like a giant storm, hitting each person in a different way...finances, physical health, mental health, and everything in between. We need to stand on the ROCK.

What does it look like to stand on the ROCK?

Lean into Christ! Having a relationship with Jesus is the first step. Just as you build relationship with a person by spending time with them, spending time with Jesus is so important. Read the Bible. Worship. Memorize Scripture. Prayer.

None of us can do this alone! Even in the midst of social distancing WE NEED EACH OTHER! Call, email, message, video chat someone to see how they are doing, and share how you are doing.

If you are in need of physical/emotional/spiritual support, please contact us at office@cfcrenton.com.

Let’s remember what the most important things are: loving God and loving each other.

We are in this together!
