March 16 -- CFC Update

CFC Family,

Greetings to you Kingdom People! This is such a pivotal time to bring peace with us everywhere we go, and to everyone we talk with. Many are panicking, angry, frustrated, questioning, etc. In whatever state you find your heart, I'm encouraging you to fix your eyes upon Jesus! He will carry you, your family, your coworkers, your neighbors through anything you face.

There are so many opportunities to bring peace:
  • Jeff and I walked around our neighborhood, knocking on doors, asking if they needed any food/TP/supplies, and how they are doing in the midst of all of this. We wanted them to know that neighbors stick together and that we are here if they need anything.
  • When I went to the grocery store, I brought quarter sheets with scriptures, a prayer and our church website. I asked people if they are doing ok, handed them the sheet and told them I am praying they have peace during this time. The people I spoke with were so thankful and said it was just what they needed. If you are trying to stay at home, continue to keep the people around you in prayer.

As we move forward with Sunday morning Home Groups (see details below), I would like to challenge you to join a group. We will be worshipping together and digging into God's Word. Stay in touch and let someone know if you have a need. If you have health concerns, please stay home, but staying connected as a community is vital right now, whether in person or by phone.

John 15:9--“I have loved you even as the Father has loved me. Remain in my love. 10 When you obey my commandments, you remain in my love, just as I obey my Father’s commandments and remain in his love. 11 I have told you these things so that you will be filled with my joy. Yes, your joy will overflow! 12 This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you. 13 There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. 14 You are my friends if you do what I command.

One day we will look back on this moment. I want to be counted among those who were confident in God as Healer, Provider, Prince of Peace and Comforter.

I love each of you and pray you stand firm and enjoy the peace of God!
